Andis Clipper Compatibility: Detachable, Adjustable and T-Blade Models

Detachable-blade clippers snap a blade on and off by hand and cover a huge range of sizes with one machine - this is the AGC, AGC2, ProClip and Pulse ZR family, and it is covered in full on the Andis clipper blades page.

Adjustable-blade clippers have a blade bolted permanently to the body; a lever or dial changes the cut length and there is no separate size to buy. This is the Select Cut and enVISION line, both carrying an internal Andis model code starting with CLC.

T-blade trimmers take a wide, squared blade built for outlining rather than general clipping - see the Andis T-Outliner blade page for that system.

Mixing these up is the single most common mistake when buying a "replacement blade" for an Andis clipper: a detachable UltraEdge cannot go on a machine that has no detachable mount at all. Find the model below before ordering.

ProClip is Andis's retail name for the AGC Super 2-Speed platform, not a different mechanism - a "ProClip AGC Super 2-Speed" and a plain "AGC Super 2-Speed" take exactly the same blade. All of them use the detachable mount that also takes CeramicEdge and ShowEdge blades, plus Andis's own M-Force line, and the mount is close enough to the industry-standard A5 pattern that many Oster-style blades click onto it too.

Select Cut and enVISION clippers carry an internal Andis code starting with CLC, and they are built around a different idea entirely: the blade stays fixed to the clipper, and a lever or dial changes the cut length instead of swapping parts. Select Cut's titanium-ceramic blade adjusts across roughly 1mm to 1.9mm; the enVISION blade adjusts finer, from about 0.25mm to 1mm.

Because the blade never comes off in normal use, there is no UltraEdge or CeramicEdge size to buy for these machines - searching for a "replacement blade" only turns up the one model-specific blade set, Select Cut's or enVISION's, and it replaces the whole cutting head rather than a single size. If a CLC-series clipper is pulling or leaving lines, check why an Andis clipper stops cutting first - oil and packed hair cause most of the same symptoms here as on a detachable-blade machine, and neither needs a new blade.

Pulse ZR is Andis's cordless line for equine and livestock work, and despite the different body it uses the same detachable-blade idea as the AGC family: UltraEdge, CeramicEdge and A5-style blades click onto the same mount.
